MUSCAT — Nawras has congratulated its online manager Tariq Al Barwani following a notification from Microsoft that he has been awarded Microsoft’s Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs) recognition.

Tariq has been invited to the US to attend a celebratory event at which Bill Gates will give the keynote address. Tariq will be leaving Muscat on March 10 2007 to attend the Global Summit 2007 at Seattle Washington. This year Nawras had been judged the winner of the golden award for the ‘Best Website’ in the category of ‘Information and Communication Technology’ and had also won the overall golden award for the ‘Website of the Year’. A delighted Tariq said: “I am honoured to have been rewarded in this way and proud that my work at Nawras has generated these results.
