New bug hits Oman

Muscat - A new computer virus has established itself in Oman. It is called Fix 2001. It arrives in an e-mail box as an attached file under the subject heading Internet problem Year 2000”.

Tariq bin Hilal AL Barwani Internet manager of OHI Telecommunications, well known in Oman for his previous debugging efforts, says he has been working on this new enemy and has come up with a solution. He has developed Fix 2001 OHITARIQ virus cleaners, which he says, will get ride of the bug.

If PC users are afflicted with this new bug they can download this virus cleaners from www.ohitariq.net .

This one, he says, is particularly dangerous become it can destroy the contents of a computer’s hard drive.
