Nawras Telecom as Online Manager
since Jan 2005

      Company Information: An Omani Qatari Telecommunications Company SAOC founded and registered as a company in Oman in 2004. In March 2005, it launched as the second mobile operator in Oman under the name of Nawras  

     Job Description / Responsibility: Manage and coordinate the day to day operations related to Nawras in the World Wide Web (Internet) and the Intranet from design, content and technology – typically work as a consultant per se – advising on what to use, where to get and how to incorporate business activities onto the web medium. My tasks revolve around building the Nawras brand, exposure and communication with employees [internally] and customers [externally] via the online medium – and thus the one man team – the Online Manager. 

      Notable Achievements: Restructured the Internet and Intranet design, structure and information flow. As a consequence, Nawras was awarded twice - locally as the best Telecommunication and Software Company Website, and regionally as the best ICT website.

Oman Training Institute as an IT instructor
June 2002 – August 2002  (During University Vacation)

      Company Information: Oman Training Institute was established in 1998, and has been initiating a series of change in its programs within the institute since December 2000. The institute is considered to be one of the leading training institutes in Sultanate of Oman. It provides a variety of higher education courses with International certificates.  

      Job Description / Responsibility: Conduct computer courses training, prepare weekly exercises/assignments and final exam/project for each course. 

      Notable Achievements: Provided the institute with practical experience gained while I was abroad. The school introduced and requested students to hand-in projects after end of each course conducted apart from exams. The institutes received tremendous response as well as excellent feedback from the trainees. Certificates available on request.

from March 2000 – July 2001

      Job Description / Responsibility: Manage and head the development of OHI’s IT portal and Internet related services, from designing, developing and maintaining Internet vertical and horizontal web projects. This includes, leading the projects from the creation to the delivery, marketing and selling Internet Services, and conducting presentations, seminars, press articles, and interviews to develop the Internet community in Oman focused on generating revenues for OHI products and services.

      Notable Achievements: I created an Internet development department, recruited a team of professional to work under me, trained and also supervised the development of the IT portal and other web related services. Within seven months, the IT portal was voted and selected as the best in Oman.

United Media Services as Computer Programmer
from 7^th January 1998 to 25^th November 1999 

      Company Information: UMS represent the largest media and communication group in Oman and are well supported by IMTAC Group, Information Technology Company in Oman that provides extensive range of equipment and consulting expertise to both government institutions and the private sector.

     Job Description / Responsibility: Developing Internet Related Programs and Websites for reputable private organizations and government. In addition, provide support and IT consultancy services to clients and in-house staff.

      Notable Achievements: Along with a team, we developed many websites for well-known companies from automobiles, banks, health, insurance, tourism, telecom, entertainment, educational, etc for both private and public institutions. Later, we developed the first general (horizontal) portal known as OmanAccess.com

      Skills acquired: Working as a team-player, consultancy, further enhancement to programming and development, media, marketing and communications.
