Single point of access to e-Government from KO
MUSCAT — KnowledgeOman.com, an IT knowledge-sharing portal, has launched a
single point of access interface to all of the electronic government services
in Oman. The new link (KO e-Gateway) is very simple and direct so everyone in
Oman can use it easily for e-Services via the KnowledgeOman.Com
Tariq Hilal Al Barwani, the founder and president of KnowledgeOman said: “The
government sector has done an amazing job of introducing an electronic means
where public can do their day-to-day transactions simply via the world-wide
web. We have realised that it is important that we combine all the entry
points into a single link under one roof, and therefore we have created KO
e-Gateway to serve the community in Oman”. Muddasir Rizvi, IT project manager
of KnowledgeOman, added: “KO e-Gateway connects the community in Oman to
useful, educational websites, and governmental institutions where users can
track their traffic fines, follow-up with university applications or even get
their latest stock market updates from the Muscat Securities Market website.
KO e-Gateway is all about finding links that really connect you to
e-Government in Oman”.
