KnowledgeOman.com launches first online community school


KnowledgeOman.com has taken Oman’s e-learning prospects to the next level by launching the first online community school — the KO School. This is the first free e-learning community platform in the Sultanate and a major leap towards free online education in Oman. Tariq Hilal al Barwani, founder of KnowledgeOman.com, said “Education is the cornerstone of our community and nation’s wealth. The school is open for everyone and anyone to access at anytime to register and get free education for their necessary development!” KnowledgeOman.com has installed and configured the portal to use one of the popular open sources learning management system known as “moodle” that is currently used by reputable universities and colleges around the world. The system enables the instructors and students to effectively co-ordinate with live discussions, homework submissions and one-to-one support along with group assistance and conducted online tests as learners move forward with their progress.

Enrolments to the KO School are open for all members, no matter where they are in the world, at www.knowledgeoman.com. “Whether one is a student, employed, job seeker, stay-at-home or independent worker, the KO School brings the convenience of learning at one’s ease anywhere in the world with the privacy of their PC and with continuous access to the learning material,” said Tariq al Barwani. The KO School provides free e-learning lessons in both English and Arabic starting with courses in Networking, C++, Photoshop, Oracle Database, JAVA and more with other knowledge areas.
